Heeeeeey, it's been a while. How's everyone doing? I've been getting into beading crafts, making little fish out of beads, and necklaces. Also, I'm doing another temperature blanket this year, what can I say year-long crochet projects call to me.

Books I Have Read Recently

Do I even like reading?

Strange Houses by Uketsu → Interesting idea, using a floor plan that looks a little odd to introduce a thriller narrative. However, the actual narrative was so far-fetched, and I'm sorry to say, stupid, that when you finish the book, you're just like "Okay, sure Jan." Easy to read because the whole book is basically text transcripts.

Does Anyone Else Feel This Way? by Eli Rallo→ Sometimes people shouldn't write books. And sometimes books should be a 2-paragraph blog post instead of 200+ pages.

I Have Some Questions For You by Rebecca Makkai→ My enjoyment of this book is purely because I LOVE a boarding school thriller. I'm obsessed! It felt very preachy in a bad way, and that's not to say I don't agree with what she was saying; it was just a lot. Also, the ending, as real as it probably was, was a big nothing burger bummer. This is a book, you could give us a happy ending.

Talk about a beautiful, stunning movie with amazing puppet work. OMG! Such a lovely-looking movie, and I don't think anyone watched it.

If you're not watching The Pitt, you are missing out. I also watched almost all of ER, and it also slaps.
The creator of Derry Girls has a new show out on Netflix called How to Get to Heaven from Belfast, and it's good!

The Project Hail Mary movie is coming out soon, and I'm pretty excited about it
