"That house would look better with Halloween decorations"

I am filled with rage and anger. My car was stolen from the parking lot at my apartment. And the thieves will face zero (0) consequences because the cops don't do sh*t. So, now I am down a thousand plus dollars and the will to live. I haven't been able to drive to work in 3 weeks and my car will never be, or smell 🤢, the same. They have f*cked me!

So next time you see a 12- 21 year old near a Kia, make sure they have a key fob or call the cops. #new-license-plate-new-me

I promise this gets more positive after this.

Books I Have Read Recently

I passed by Goodreads goal

ree

Lockwood & Co.: The Screaming Staircase by Jonathan Stroud → Fantastic world-building and they have REAL ghosts. Great first book of a YA series and a great TV show.

ree

Just Like Home by Sarah Gailey → This book is by the same author as Magic for Liars, but it was worse. The ghosts weren't real. Her dad was a serial killer, and I think that wasn't villainized enough. She was crazy, but not in the Gillian Flynn way; she was crazy in the poorly-written character way. There were some bones here but not enough meat ya know. Also, the house was a character, literally.

ree

Graveyard Shift by M. L. Rio → The title has a double meaning and I like that. This book was short and sweet and did not overstay its welcome. I loved the characters because that is really what this book is about and I think it was well written. A little too much proper noun usage but that's ok.

On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft by Stephen King → This book was half memoir and half how to be a writer. This was good and made me like Stephen King more. He loves his wife and his kids, and he loves to write. Would I say the writing advice is good? Maybe... He really just said to start writing and not write for the paycheck, and I think that's good advice.

News Night with Maggie

New news I find a little interesting

  • LinkedIn has added a new game to its games section, it's called Tango. They now have 4 games. Crossclimb is still my favorite.

  • Sidney Sweeney is looking buff! She is prepping for her new movie and my god her arms are strong looking.

ree

  • HBO released a new Salem's Lot movie and it was good. I might have been the only one who has watched it.

ree
  • They are making a Ready or Not 2 with Samara Weaving returning and I'm super excited about it, I have no idea what the plot could be but it's gonna be fun no matter what.

Parting Words

Get a pumpkin or some spiderwebs and decorate for Halloween. Also, grab a donut and apple cider and go out on a walk.
